The tour kicks off in sunny Santa Monica, home to the 3rd Street Promenade and Santa Monica Pier. You’ll also get a glimpse of this famous L.A. beach and the Pacific Ocean.
Then we drop you off for a quintessential L.A. experience at the renowned J. Paul Getty Center, home to several priceless art exhibitions. In addition to housing multiple permanent collections – one of which includes the famous “Irises” by Vincent Van Gogh – the pavilions play host to changing exhibits. The architecture and grounds of the Getty Center are equally fascinating. Situated on a hilltop in the Santa Monica Mountains, the Getty is known for its lovely gardens and breathtaking views of the city. The Getty Center – which sees over 1.3 million visitors every year – is a must-do for fans of art history.
After your time at the Getty, the tour continues with visits to popular areas and landmarks and L.A.’s most famous neighborhoods, including the ritzy gated community of Bel Air, the busy UCLA area of Westwood Village, and the exclusive streets of Brentwood.
We also stop in Beverly Hills, where you can browse the high end designer shops on Rodeo Drive. You can't beat Beverly Hills for people-watching and celebrity sightings. Then we make our way down the infamous Sunset Strip to Hollywood Boulevard, home to the Walk of Fame and Grauman's Chinese Theatre. For movie buffs and film fans, the Walk of Fame is an important destination: over 2400 entertainers have been immortalized with a star for their contributions to Hollywood. Beloved stars of the silver screen – including classic actors like Jimmy Stewart and his modern day counterpart, Tom Hanks – have also left their hand and footprints in front of the Chinese Theatre. Steps away you'll find the Kodak Theatre, home to the Academy Awards, and plenty of shopping and dining in the massive Hollywood & Highland complex.
Then it's on to the Hollywood Hills! We wind our way up Mulholland Drive, one of the most famous drives in Los Angeles, where you'll enjoy stunning views of the city and the Hollywood Sign. If the sky is clear, you can even see the Pacific Ocean. The tour ends with a stop at Universal CityWalk, on the other side of Hollywood Hills. Wander the stores looking for movie memorabilia or get some food at one of their popular eateries.
